Tonight is the night of the calling hours, tomorrow is the funeral. Unforutantly, I can not go to either. But some of my friends were able to go to the calling hours, and I would just like to include some of what they said.
So you know, she looked very peaceful. And happy. Like she was dreaming about playing with her daughter in the snow. Making a snowman maybe. ~Kittymoon00013 aka Natasha
Well, everyone you saw around you was talking to another, remembering the good times, talking about what she used to do, and what they would do when they were little, which would make them laugh, but then cry even more. ~Sara1919
They had pictures of her when she was little, pretending to be Charlies Angels with friends, and pictures of her rolling her eyes, and pictures of her when she was 8 with her tongue sticking out, and pictures of her when she was like 9 months pregnant, and her in the hospital holding her baby, with the largest smile. There were pictures of her in bathing suits with friends at the pool and in every picture she was in, she was smiling. This included all of her school photos as well. ~Sara1919
About the title:
I asked my friend Natasha to tell the deceased {sorry, I'm still ommitting for respect of the dead} a special message from me. I've made a promise to both her and myself. I've promised that I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that another tragedy like her's does not happen again. Remember, if you are ever depressed, or feel like commiting suicide, please get help. If the story that I've told doesn't deter you, think about this. All those people that you knew, that you loved, are going to have to keep living without you. And that is a horrible thing to do to people.
And I'm going to reprint the story from Monday, for those who didn't see it the first time or want to read it again.
Today we found out that a senior in our school took her life over the weekend. For security and personal reasons, and also respect, I'm not going to put her name in her tribute. Like I said, she was a senior. That means she was just under 6 months from graduating. Now we'll never know what she could have accomplished. She was also a member of the yearbook staff, and a very bright and happy young woman. I'm just going to include what the annoucements said, so you can see it the way the students here do.
"Sometimes we have to come together as a school and deal with a tragedy. Over the weekend, a senior took her life. Her name was *ommitted*. She was a member of the yearbook and was a very happy person. So please be aware of this mood as you walk down the hallways."
Ok, so that isn't it word for word, but that's all I can remember.
For all of my religious watchers out there, could you please include her family in your prayers? Because survivor's guilt is a terrible terrible thing to deal with. Survivor's guilt is the feelings of "why didn't she tell me?" or "why not me?" after soembody close to you commits suicide.
and for all of my watchers struggling with depression, please please please know that you can always talk to somebody if you need help. I'll be here emotionally, but don't forget that the people in your school could probably help you better than I can. Just get help. Please. You are loved by too many people to kill yourself.
